In rewatching the endlessly pleasurable Sound of Music for the umpteenth time, I couldn't help but find some measure of resonance –– allowing, of course, for the enormous difference in level of menace and evil –– in this stirring moment and Canadian resistance to the insidious Trump regime, equal parts odious and simply idiotic.
Let's just hope the Anschluss can be averted.
